The Light
CÉVANNE uses two wavelengths. Red light at [SPEC] nm is absorbed near the surface, where it acts on the visible condition of the skin. Near-infrared at [SPEC] nm travels further. The mechanism studied in the literature is photobiomodulation — light absorbed by the cell, influencing its energy production. The Current
Microcurrent is a very low-level electrical current — measured in millionths of an amp — applied across the face. It is the principle used in professional facial treatments, and the reason those treatments are described as sculpting rather than smoothing. It works on tone, not on the surface.
What that means in practice: the appearance of lift and definition, particularly along the jaw.
Why together
Light addresses the quality of the skin. Current addresses the structure beneath it. Separately, each is a partial answer. Together, in one ten-minute sitting, they are the reason CÉVANNE exists.
The Fit
A rigid mask treats a flat face. No face is flat. CÉVANNE is formed in flexible medical-grade silicone that follows the jaw and continues down the neck and décolleté — the area most devices abandon, and the area that shows change first.
The Protocol
Ten minutes. Three evenings a week. The device times the session and stops on its own. Definition responds to consistency rather than to intensity, which is why our protocol is modest and why we would rather you kept to it.
